Friday, August 26, 2016, has been designated as the “Schools at the Show” Day. School groups of any age and youth organizations are encouraged to attend the Mid-South Forestry Equipment Show as this event presents a wonderful opportunity for a beneficial field trip this fall. The show will be of particular interest to vocational classes, community college technical programs, and groups with an agricultural or natural resources focus such as FFA, 4-H, Scouts, and Envirothon Teams. Not only can students observe forestry and logging equipment in action, but there are also many possibilities for networking with industry professionals and potential employers.
If you would like to bring a student group to the show, we request that you plan to attend between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Friday, August 26. We are providing complimentary registration to student groups, and the Mississippi State University Society of American Foresters Student Chapter / Forestry Club will be offering lunch at the show site for a nominal concessions fee. Just complete the Group Attendance Application and return it to us via mail of by fax no later than Wednesday, August 17 so that we may plan for your visit.
